I have been sitting in the airport for several hours now. I got here early on purpose… One to save some money, but two to force me into a position where all I can do is read my books on story or work on story. I have been frantically switching back and fourth between various Save The Cat! Books (i was so impressed with the first book I got the other two) and scribbling in my notebook. I made some major breakthroughs today, after some frustrating realizations that I needed to redo, redo, redo. When everything comes together it feels really good, but I have been working on this long enough to know it will get reworked again and again. The pain of that starts to numb after a while.

So my goal for this week vacation to sunny florida is to focus on story. And p hopefully have a strong, final framework by the end of it. I wont have all the scenes and probably almost no script. But I will be able to carry on with the goods… What interests me the most as an artist… The “look” stuff. Characters, environment…even rough storyboards.

It is an exciting time. Wish me luck!
